A little over a week ago, I walked around downtown Grand Rapids with Nick and his mother to take his senior pictures. It was a perfect summer night and I loved all the different backgrounds the city had to offer. Senior pictures are so different from my typical family pictures and a welcome change. I’m usually “entertaining” little ones and trying to get them to all look at the camera, and it’s a rare and wonderful thing when they look at me and smile. So taking senior pictures, where I can give direction and it’s actually followed, is awesome! And Nick couldn’t have been more perfect – easy going, fully prepared with outfit changes, up for trying anything and has a great smile.
Nick, I really enjoyed getting to know you and your mom better. I wish you the very best of luck in this next year as well as making the decision of where you are going to attend college. You have so many people who love and support you, and I know you will find the right school to fit what you are looking for. My advice (from someone who graduated from college almost 10 years ago, so take it with a grain of salt) – Dream Big. Work Hard. Learn from the people God places in your path. And Trust Him. You will be great, I just know it!
