So flashback to elementary, middle and high school… You know those people who you secretly want to be best friends with because everyone loves them and they’re just so nice? Well, that was Katie for me. We played basketball together all throughout elementary, middle and high school and her dad coached the first team I was on. I recently found that team picture and laughed hysterically. But Katie has always been super sweet and just fun to be around.
A couple weeks ago, she asked me to take some maternity pictures for her and I was so excited! I had heard through the grapevine (let’s be honest, I think it was through Facebook) she was pregnant and was thrilled to be able to capture this special time for her and her husband. So when we got together last week for their session, it was like 88 degrees and super sunny. I wanted so badly to try and look like a put together human being instead of my yoga pants, hair thrown up and food and snot all over me from my children mother I am…. but it was hot! So my hair went up and I was a sweaty mess, but Katie hugged me anyways.
I had so much fun with Katie and Jack for their maternity session. It was awesome catching up with one another and bridging the gap between the years. I cannot wait to hear the news of little Baby B’s arrival… and to find out if they are having a girl or a boy (since they aren’t finding out). Thank you SO much Katie and Jack for braving the heat and being absolutely wonderful to work with. You guys are going to be the best parents!!
